System Requirements

Memory: 256 MB RAM is required, 4-8 GB RAM is recommended.

HDD Space:  The installation requires less than 500 MB space. The size of the generated output depends on the mass of the cluster and on the size of the FITS images. For a mass in the 106 solar masses range 1 TB of free space is recommended.

Required : LINUX

32-bit Linux distributions
Not tested, not recommended.
64-bit Linux distributions
Linux kernel 3.2.x-.xx or above

(has been tested on:  Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS)

- g++ 4.6 x64, or above (may require compat-gcc-34 on Fedora systems). Recommended: g++ 4.8 x64

Optional :

- SkyMaker 2.3.4 or SkyMaker 3.x (to generate FITS images)
ds9 or any FITS viewer


Recommended Operating Systems:   
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. 

  MASSCLEAN 2.014 CC is also available for:  
- Raspberry Pi (ARMv6 CPU) running Raspbian 3.12. The entire MASSCLEAN package would compile and run perfectly on Raspberry Pi. The dedicated version includes compiled binaries.
The following settings are recommended: arm_freq=950-1000, core_freq=500, sdram_freq=500.
- Windows 7. Executables are included. MASSCLEAN for Windows 7 is the same command line package, and runs on Command Prompt or PowerShell terminal.  
  - Darwin 13.4.0. This version was tested on Mac OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 with g++ 4.2.1 (clang-600.0.56).
